This course will develop your understanding of the role, skills and qualities of a successful massage therapist in relation to the client who suffers with unresolved trauma, particularly domestic abuse, sexual abuse and PTSD. You will extend your knowledge of the physiological aspects of PTSD and trauma, and its relationship to chronic pain and skin conditions, be able to identify both physical and psychological symptoms, and to understand the precautions you should take as a therapist when treating a client who has been through trauma.
REGISTER nOWThis course develops your understanding of the role, skills and qualities of a successful massage therapist in relation to the client with mental health issues, understanding the precautions you should take as a therapist and recognising where certain emotions will manifest as physical symptoms in the body. You will extend your knowledge of the physiological aspects of mental health and improve your understanding of specific issues such as grief, depression, ADHD, eating disorders and psychosomatic illnesses, enabling you to adapt your treatment accordingly, and offer some self help suggestions to your client suffering from stress.
REGISTER nOWThis course will cover the anatomy of the yoni, the lingam and specific points of stimulation, enabling you to identify ways that someone can feel pleasure in order to reconnect with their body and sexuality . You will understand what yoni/lingam massages are and the reasons for them, including how they can help clients with trauma, multiple pelvic surgeries, or negative experiences in their relationships. While there is not a practical session, this course does teach you how to perform a yoni/lingam massage and how to deal with sudden emotional release of stored traumatic tension
