PREREQUISITES: Body Massage Diploma, Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology
This course is intended for anyone who has already undertaken basic body massage/sports massage training:-
- to further their knowledge of common conditions that affect the upper limbs which may lead clients to book a treatment, with self help measures that they can suggest to their clients
- to introduce them to upper limb injuries prior to undertaking a sports massage course
- to gain further insight into upper injuries from a more medical viewpoint after undertaking sports massage training

LEARNING OUTCOMES
- to extend your knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the upper limbs and chest
- to develop your knowledge of the common upper limb injuries that clients may present with, to know the causes and risk factors and to recognise the symptoms
- to identify preventive and rehabilitative self help measures that you can suggest to clients
- to offer massage treatments with a more medical/sports focus
- to recognise the benefits of breast massage
ASSESSMENT
Theory assessment only – Due to the amount of information in this course, the assessment has been split into 2 smaller assessments, covering different sections of the course. The overall pass mark must exceed 70%.
QUALIFICATION: Upper Limb Injuries approved by Think Tree will act as an addition to your CPD. Theory assessment with a pass score of 70%. If you don’t pass the first time you can retake the assessment at no extra charge.
